VoicettoSpeech to text · macOS · In-house product
Turn spoken ideas into useful text.
A voice-first writing tool built around local processing, personal vocabulary and practical everyday use.

01 / THE CHALLENGE
The problem worth solving.
Typing can interrupt the flow of an idea. A useful dictation tool needs to make capture simple, accommodate the words a person actually uses, and give them control over where their audio is processed.
02 / THE PRODUCT
What we built.
We developed a Mac application for on-device speech-to-text, with personal vocabulary and writing modes that help turn spoken thoughts into usable text.
03 / THE APPROACH
How we approached the work.
Design around capture
The interface keeps the core tasks—dictation, transcription and reviewing previous work—easy to reach from a single workspace.
Keep processing on the device
Local speech-to-text models support the product’s on-device workflow. That choice shapes both the experience and its privacy expectations.
Fit the user’s language
Personal vocabulary and writing modes give the tool flexibility for different words, contexts and ways of working.
04 / YOUR BUSINESS
What this could look like for you.
If your team spends time turning conversations, notes or documents into usable information, we can help assess the workflow and build a focused tool. We’ll work through accuracy, privacy and integration needs before choosing the technology.
